What Do I Get?
acknowledge is a software toolkit, which includes;
- software CD;
- full implementation guide; and training manual.
The Software is a platform independent toolkit that can run on Windows or Linux and can be rapidly deployed anywhere in the UK. It is replicable, portable, non-proprietary, cost-effective and scalable.
The software provides:
Citizen Engagement Interface (CEI)
Which Enables citizens to register and identify specific areas of policy interest, search associated data sources and participate in consultation through discussion boards and questionnaires.
During registration users can elect to receive alerts by e-mail or text to notify them about new consultations of specific interest to themselves.
Consulation Management Engine (CME)
Provides consultation management facilities along with configuration tools to enable acces to defined information and data sources, which can be other websites or data depositories. There is a facility to load any classification scheme which complies with the LGCL XML Schema. This is then used to categorise information sources and index individual resources within these.
The powerful search engine works against this index and data sources are regularly scanned for new material. A variety of administrative tools are also provided in order to manage discussion boards, questionnaire consultation and add new data sources, etc.
