acknowledge was originally developed as part of the Knowledge Management National Project and is distributed on a licence free basis.

The aim of the KM National Project programme was to develop a set of toolkits and processes, which every local authority can understand and access in order to utilise their knowledge assets in support of improving performance.

Since the original work, some further product development and refinement has also been funded through the e-Democracy National Project which recognised the potential value for e-Engagement offered by acknowledge.

This website has been established to provide information about acknowledge and to provide a place where users of the software can meet on-line, exchange tips and access product updates and extensions.
